  Leading the defense counsel of the Roads and Bridges Corporation in commercial law arbitration before the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) in Paris 1995-98

  Chairman of the Committee for Reviewing International Trade Agreements between Sudan and other Countries (1990).

  Water Resources

On the list of arbitrators maintained by the Secretary - General of the United Nations for the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea.

Author of the Study of water and Related Legislation in the Sudan within project SUD/98/005 financed by FAO - December 1998.

 Leader of Task Group Seven (Legal Aspects) of the Water Atlas Project, sponsored by the UNESCO Chair in Water Resources Feb. 1998.

  Assigned as National Consultant by UNDP to RAB/96/008 project (Legal Framework of the Water Sector in Sudan) for the Ministry of Irrigation and Water Resources of the Sudan, January 1999.

 Rapporteur of the High Committee for International Watercourses in the Sudan 1995-1997.

 Member of the National Council for Water Resources and the High Ministerial Committee chaired by the First Vice-President of the Republic.

  Former member of the Panel of Experts of the Nile Basin Countries.

  Member of the Sudan delegation to negotiate the legal and Institutional Framework Agreement among Nile Basin Countries.

 Former member of ESTAC (Ethiopian Sudanese Technical Advisory Committee for Water Resources).

 Member of Sudan delegation to all U.N. meetings which discussed the Convention on the law of the Non- Navigational Uses of International Watercourses.

Attended the series of Nile 2001 Conferences until 2001.
